MELFORT DANCE CENTRE

​The Melfort Dance Centre is entering our 31st year of operation under the direction of Jennifer Mauvieux. We are committed to working hard to develop each child's full dance potential while at the same time ensuring that their dance education is positive and encouraging.  We strive to provide an atmosphere that will encourage a passion for dance, movement and music. 

Classes are offered in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and acrodance.  A full season program is offered to students ages 3-18.  (See classes for more information).  We have 2 fully equipped dance rooms with mirrors, barres and spring marley floors.  We offer a full exam program in ballet, tap and jazz with professional, qualified faculty members.

Our Dance Educators maintain a high standard of education, enthusiasm and desire to share their passion for dance with children.  We therefore, offer students qualified and caring instruction in each class.  The Dance Centre not only guides in the development of an accomplished dancer, but encourages every student to reach their full potential.  As dance educators, we have the opportunity to see students grow, learning not only about the joy of performing, but also about working towards and achieving goals, building self-confidence and developing friendships. A dance education encompasses far more than technique and the steps your children will learn.  We believe the discipline of dance training provides a better understanding of commitment by experiencing the spirit of teamwork while at the same time allowing development of their own personal, unique style.

With a little hard work, each student learns, executes and achieves skills needed for a successful life ... whether they go on to be professional dancers, dance teachers, or avid supporters of the Arts ... the discipline, organizational skills, confidence, and Dance Education will never be Wasted!
